Washington DC.
Well, it was a wonderful experience I had in USA.
On May 5, 2010, all IALS group visited Washington DC, capital of the United States. The flight left at 7:00 am, San Antonio, Texas. And arriving in North Carolina at Charlotte Airport, from there take the flight to DC Washintong City in the afternoon. When we reached the Conference Center, immediately went to learn how to travel and use the buses and metro cards.
Washington DC, is a different city than San Antonio city in Texas. This city has something special that makes it look nicer for example: the buses are more quickly and on time,is surrounded by nature with great trees, people walk a lot and it shows that obesity and in other parts of the country, is a very clean and beautiful.
The subway was one of the things that I like of this city. A quick lit riding the trains, I think if one day return to visit and know how to reach different places more easily, in the course of riding the subway, we had difficulty at first because we were afraid of losing, but otherwise it went very well.

Well, this museum contains many representations of cultures, not just North America but in Central and South America. I was very surprised that the museum has only a small part of African culture was not as if we imported, we found only a few photos of Afro Bolivianos.
A very important thing was the explanation given to us by Mr. Many Horses, where he first said they were investigating the cultures in the library and then went directly to the communities where these indigenous groups Vivian to meet and share with them their customs and traditions.

Washington Capitolio EE.UU

Visit to the Mall In Washington DC
A place in Historical and interesting, there are many museums of different kinds
We visited the Space Museum, Museum of American History, National Museum of the American Indian, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial (Obelisk) is a very tall tower that was built in three parts, and other no windows except in the top where we could see the entire city or hemispheres and dividing the capital city.
That was the day I walked over, although we had a pass from the tour bus, walked to the White House. I know the most famous house that I had heard all my life, that was incredible, I was there! in front of the Mansion Obama, hoping to see for the first time the president of the USA, but unfortunately it did not.
The only thing we found was a small woman of Spanish descent, has lived in front of White House for more than 30 years protesting against wars, and as it was a famous woman I asked her to take a picture with her.

It was a good opportunity to practice our
Even though we didn’t have enough audience it wasn't a problem for us because we did hard work to be recognized for our job. That presentation was in (UTSA) University of San Antonio Texas. There is a wonderful place to show whatever thing about our culture and country.
Everything was good, kitchen, cookers, place and us. It doesn’t matter the places, and situations, we are ready to do our best job and try new things that we have learned during those two years. That day we ate a lot food from the different countries; some of them was hot and had spice, but we didn’t care that, we just eating and enjoy the food.
So, I would like to do others presentations right there because that experiences maybe I will use in my hometown with persons of my community and share our culture and more than. In special when we go to some places where the peoples show different typical plates. Sometimes we learn how to prepare food from their countries.
